"We have the freedom to choose the processes and feedstocks, which means we can use residues from industries like paper and wood, agricultural waste, municipal waste, or even recycled plastics. The key is measuring the energy used to process these molecules and ensuring the new race fuel saves at least 65% of greenhouse gas emissions compared to standard fossil fuels," Loreti explains.

While the focus is on the sustainability and origin of fuel components, with the supply chain certified by the FIA, the goal is to maintain the fuel's performance. As Loreti puts it, "If we could manufacture a fuel with the same composition as today, Scuderia Ferrari HP would be thrilled because these molecules are proven performers in their engines."
