After her husband loses his job, upper-crust housewife Bridget Cardigan (Diane Keaton) is forced to take a job as a janitor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Mo. Tudo começa com Diane descobrindo que esta falida. Encontra um emprego no banco central, onde destroem o dinheiro velho. A oportunidade faz o ladrão. Então Diane arma uma forma de roubar, mas precisa da ajuda de Queen e Katie. E assim formam a quadrilha, com o tempo o marido de Diane e Katie, entram na quadrilha e depois o namorado de Queen. Quando já tinham o suficiente, a ambição de Diane fez com que não paracem. Atém que são descobertas e presas. Mas ela consegue a liberdade desde que deixacem todo o dinheiro que a policia apreendeu.
