Debenhams has dramatically cut the price of a 'sensational' watch embellished with diamonds. Shoppers have the chance to indulge in extravagance for less as it has a huge 94% discount. The retailer has massively reduced the price of its GV2 Bellagio Swiss Made Diamond Women's Watch from £3,195 down to £187.50.
This markdown allows shoppers to pocket around a £3,000 saving on the watch, which shoppers say is a "pleasure to wear" and a "talking point". Debenhams said: "Attempting to capture the brilliance of GV2 Bellagio collection is a task fit for the daring, yet we willingly embrace the role of the fool to describe this sensational Women's timepiece. The Bellagio Swiss Made Diamond Watch transcends the realms of luxury; it stands as an exquisite and extraordinary masterpiece that effortlessly commands attention.
"While the name Bellagio may evoke images of majestic fountains, this timepiece goes beyond expectations, drawing inspiration from the Pearl of Lake Como".
The GV2 Bellagio's 30mm square case is adorned by a double diamond-cut ring bezel, creates layers of diamond indulgence designed to "captivate the senses".
Its silver and white dial is bejewelled with eight diamonds arranged in a square in the centre.
The GV2 Bellagio Swiss Made Diamond Watch has Roman numeral hour markers, and also GV2's "impeccable" Swiss Quartz movement, reports the Mirror.
Debenhams said: "Is it over the top? Perhaps, but in the most delightful way. The Bellagio has us all raising our glasses to 'la dolce vita'."
The watch holds an average score of 4.2 stars out of five. One five-star review said: "The watch was much bigger and heavier than I expected but looks stunning on was really pleased with it. A real talking point."
Another shopper added: "Amazing love everything about it perfect Size perfect looks so beautiful strap bit big had 2 links taken of but im over the moon."
Meanwhile, another customer said: "Beautiful watch, looks amazing on the wrist, very classy."
A further shopper added: "I am very happy with this watch, so elegant, a bit large, so removed links."
Jamik said: "What a bargain, I can't believe how much I paid for this gorgeous watch. It is absolutely stunning. I was a bit cautious at first about the price it should be and how much they were asking for it. But I thought with it being bought from Debenhams it should be ok?".
Lisa added: "I took it to a jewellers to get the strap altered, I asked them about it and they said that the price it had been originally priced at was correct. They couldn't believe how much I had paid for it. I had got a real bargain. I like my new watch, it is very elegant, a pleasure to wear."
But this shopper noted: "This isn't worth £30 let alone £3000. Cheap tat marketed as a luxury item. A cheese sandwich would last longer. Forget the hype, it really is a load of rubbish."
Another said: "Disappointed not very impressed with the item, as it was a present."
Elsewhere for those hunting for a less expensive alternative, Amazon has the Elegant Dress Diamond Analog Quartz Watch for £14.90, complete with a square face, Roman numerals, and a silver strap.
Argos also provides a similar choice with its Sekonda Monica Ladies White Dial Silver Colour Watch, priced at £49.99. It has a customer rating of 4.9 out of 5.
