The ICA Programme is all about ensuring climate justice and social justice go hand in hand. It supports cities in designing climate policies that address deep-rooted inequalities while also promoting adaptation and resilience. As the Senior Manager, you'll be the go-to person for equity and inclusion within C40's Resilient Urban Futures Programme in the region. Your technical expertise and strategic leadership will ensure that climate adaptation efforts are truly inclusive and aligned with just transition principles.
Key responsibilities include providing technical guidance to African cities on implementing their Climate Action Plans, ensuring equity and inclusivity are at the heart of these plans, and designing tailored projects to advance high-impact adaptation interventions. You'll also contribute to capacity-building efforts and act as a policy expert on critical ICA themes, such as just transition, gender equity, and disability inclusion.

You'll work closely with city officials, consultants, and partners to ensure everyone is on the same page.
